Acceptable Use

Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (this "Policy") governs what you may do on, submit to, and take from the Cavua platform (the "Platform"). It applies to everyone who uses the Platform, both Authors and Students.

If you are an Author, this Policy is incorporated by reference into, and forms part of, your Author Agreement with Cavua (the "Author Agreement"). Capitalized terms used but not defined here have the meanings given in the Author Agreement.

If you are a Student, this Policy is incorporated by reference into, and forms part of, the Student Terms of Service & End User License Agreement you accepted when you created your account (the "Terms of Service").

Part I applies to everyone. Part II adds rules for Students. Part III adds rules for Authors. Part IV covers enforcement and reporting and applies to everyone. If you are both an Author and a Student, all four Parts will apply to you.

Violating this Policy is a breach of your agreement with Cavua. Where this Policy conflicts with the Author Agreement or the Terms of Service, that agreement controls, except that this Policy controls as to the specific content and conduct standards it addresses. Cavua may update this Policy from time to time; the current version is always available at cavua.ai/legal/acceptable-use.

I.1

Part I — Who This Policy Covers

Part I applies to everyone who uses the Platform.

This Policy applies to all uses of the Platform, including your account, your profile, anything you upload or submit, anything you publish, every message you send, and every automated or manual request you make to the Platform. You are responsible for all activity under your account, including activity by anyone you permit to use it.

I.2

Your Account

The following requirements apply to every authorized user of the Platform:

  • Provide accurate registration information and keep it current.
  • Keep your credentials confidential and notify Cavua promptly at support@cavua.ai if you believe your account has been compromised.
  • Do not share, sell, rent, lend, or transfer your account or credentials to anyone else.
  • Do not create an account on behalf of someone else without authorization, impersonate any person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation with one.
  • Do not create a new account to evade a suspension, termination, or other enforcement action.
  • Do not operate multiple accounts to manipulate pricing, promotions, referrals, reviews, or free-trial eligibility.
I.3

Prohibited Content

You may not submit, upload, generate, publish, post, transmit, or link to content in any category below. This applies to every component of the Platform, including, but not limited to, Course materials, uploads, discussion posts, assignments, reviews, messages, profile fields, images, and file attachments, and this requirement extends to both free content as well as paid.

Such prohibited content includes the categories set out in Sections I.3.a through I.3.f below.

I.3.a

Content Involving Minors — Zero Tolerance

  • Any sexual or sexualized depiction, description, or discussion of a minor, in any form, including text, illustration, or generated material.
  • Any content that facilitates the grooming, exploitation, abuse, or trafficking of minors.
  • Sexual or romantic content directed at an audience of minors.

Violations of this Section I.3.a will result in immediate and permanent termination without notice, forfeiture of any pending earnings, and reporting to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and to law enforcement as may be required by law. No appeal is available.

I.3.b

Sexual and Adult Content

  • Pornographic or sexually explicit material, and content whose primary purpose is sexual arousal.
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery, or content depicting or promoting sexual violence or coercion.
  • Sexual services, or instruction in the provision of sexual services.

Clinical, medical, anatomical, historical, legal, and academic treatment of sexuality is permitted where it is educational in purpose and framing, and where it complies with Section III.3 below.

I.3.c

Violence, Harm, and Dangerous Instruction

  • Graphic depictions of violence, gore, or cruelty presented for shock value rather than educational purpose.
  • Instructions or meaningful technical guidance for constructing weapons, explosives, or chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear agents.
  • Instructions for synthesizing controlled substances, or guidance on obtaining them unlawfully.
  • Content that promotes, glorifies, or provides instruction in self-harm, suicide, disordered eating, or substance abuse. Recovery-oriented, clinical, and public-health content is permitted where it avoids method detail and follows recognized safe-messaging guidance.
  • Content that encourages or provides instruction in harming others, including stalking, surveillance of individuals, or evasion of protective orders.
  • Threats of violence against any person or group.
I.3.d

Hate, Harassment, and Discrimination

  • Content that attacks, demeans, dehumanizes, or promotes hatred or violence against individuals or groups on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, immigration status, religion, disability, age, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or veteran status.
  • Content that promotes or is produced by a designated terrorist or violent extremist organization, or that recruits for, funds, or provides material support to one.
  • Content that denies or minimizes a documented atrocity or genocide.
  • Targeted harassment of, bullying of, or disclosure of private information about any identifiable individual (e.g., "doxxing").

Academic study of hateful ideologies, extremism, propaganda, and historical atrocity is permitted where the framing is strictly analytical rather than promotional.

I.3.e

Deception, Fraud, and Illegality

  • Instruction in fraud, identity theft, phishing, money laundering, tax evasion, or financial crime.
  • Content promoting pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing recruitment, get-rich-quick programs, or guaranteed-return investment claims.
  • Content facilitating academic dishonesty, including exam answer keys, ghostwriting services, or techniques for defeating academic integrity or proctoring systems.
  • Content facilitating the circumvention of technical protection measures, licensing controls, or paywalls.
  • Content that is defamatory, or that makes false factual assertions about an identifiable person or organization.
  • Spam, chain messages, unsolicited bulk promotion, or advertising unrelated to the Platform.
  • Content that infringes or misappropriates anyone's copyright, trademark, trade secret, right of publicity, or other right.
I.3.f

Misleading and Harmful Claims

  • Health, medical, or nutritional claims that contradict settled scientific consensus and could foreseeably lead someone to forgo appropriate care.
  • Demonstrably false claims about elections, public health emergencies, or emergency response, presented in a manner likely to cause public harm.
  • Guaranteed outcome claims of any kind, including, but not limited to, income, employment, admission, licensure, examination results, health outcomes, or immigration status.
  • False or unsubstantiated claims of accreditation, institutional affiliation, professional credential, endorsement, or continuing-education eligibility.
I.4

System Integrity and Security

These rules are intended to help protect the Platform and everyone on it. You may not:

  • upload, transmit, or link to any virus, worm, trojan, ransomware, keylogger, spyware, or other malicious or harmful code;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform, to any account other than your own, or to any system, network, or data connected to the Platform;
  • probe, scan, penetration-test, or otherwise test the vulnerability of the Platform, or breach or circumvent any authentication, authorization, encryption, rate limit, access control, digital rights management, geographic restriction, or usage limit;
  • interfere with or disrupt the Platform, including by denial-of-service attack, flooding, or any action that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionate load on Cavua's infrastructure;
  • access the Platform by any automated means, including, but not limited to, bots, crawlers, spiders, scrapers, headless browsers, or bulk-retrieval tools, or use any unofficial client, without Cavua's prior written permission;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code, models, model weights, prompts, or underlying structure of the Platform, except to the limited extent applicable law prohibits this restriction;
  • attempt, through prompts, submitted content, or any other means, to manipulate the Platform's AI systems into producing content prohibited by this Policy, disclosing Cavua's prompts or system instructions, or operating outside their intended function;
  • remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, watermark, or other proprietary notice; or
  • use the Platform in any way that violates applicable law, including export control and sanctions law.

Do not conduct security research against the Platform without written authorization. If you discover a vulnerability, report it to support@cavua.ai and do not exploit it, access data you are not entitled to, or disclose it publicly before Cavua has had a reasonable opportunity to respond.

I.5

Respect for Others

The following standards are expected of every authorized user of the Platform:

  • Treat Authors, Students, and Cavua personnel with basic courtesy, including where you disagree or are dissatisfied.
  • Do not harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk, or retaliate against anyone on or through the Platform.
  • Do not collect or scrape other users' personal information, or contact them off-Platform without their consent.
  • Do not record, transcribe, or republish another user's communications without permission, where permission is required by law or by this Policy.
II.1

Part II (Students) — Eligibility and Access

Part II applies in addition to Part I whenever you enroll in, purchase, or use a Course.

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • Your enrollment is personal to you. Do not share your account so that others can access a Course you paid for, and do not present a Course to a group, class, cohort, or organization without an applicable institutional or team license.
  • Do not resell, sublicense, rent, or transfer your access to any Course.
II.2

Using Course Materials

Course materials are licensed to you for your own personal, non-commercial learning. Unless the Terms of Service or a separate written license says otherwise, you may not:

  • copy, download, export, print, screenshot, record, screen-capture, transcribe, or otherwise reproduce Course materials, except for incidental copies your browser makes automatically and any such feature Cavua expressly offers;
  • republish, distribute, post, share, sell, license, or otherwise make Course materials available to anyone else, including on file-sharing sites, messaging groups, or other learning platforms;
  • use Course materials to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any artificial intelligence or machine learning model;
  • use Course materials to create, teach, or market a competing course, product, or service;
  • use Course materials for commercial purposes, including corporate training, without an applicable license; or
  • remove or alter any attribution, watermark, or proprietary notice.

You may take personal notes, quote briefly for study or commentary, and apply what you learn in your own work and career. Those uses are expected and encouraged.

II.3

What You Submit

This Section covers everything you may contribute, including, but not limited to, discussion posts, questions, comments, assignment submissions, uploaded files, profile information, messages to Authors or Cavua, and reviews.

  • Submit only content you have the right to submit. Do not upload material owned by someone else without permission.
  • Do not include personal information about other people without their consent, including, but not limited to, names, images, contact details, health information, or private facts.
  • Do not upload files containing malicious code, and do not upload executable files, scripts, or archives except where a Course expressly requires it.
  • Do not upload content that violates Section I.3, in any format, including inside attachments, images, or file metadata.
  • Do not upload material subject to a confidentiality obligation you owe to an employer, client, or institution.
  • Keep submissions relevant to the Course. Do not advertise, solicit, recruit, or promote unrelated products or services.

Rights in what you submit are governed by the Terms of Service. This Policy governs whether the submission is permitted in the first place.

II.4

Community Participation, Reviews, and Feedback

  • Reviews and ratings must reflect your own genuine experience with the Course.
  • Do not post reviews in exchange for payment, free access, or other consideration, and do not post reviews for a Course you have not taken.
  • Do not use reviews, ratings, or public posts to harass an Author, to make unrelated personal attacks, or to threaten negative feedback in order to extract a refund, discount, or other benefit.
  • Do not coordinate with others to inflate or suppress ratings.
  • Do not post the same content repeatedly, or use automation to post.

Criticism of a Course (e.g., its quality, accuracy, difficulty, or value) is welcome and will not be removed simply because it is negative or because an Author objects.

II.5

Payments, Refunds, and Certificates

  • Use only payment methods you are authorized to use.
  • Do not abuse refund policies, including by repeatedly purchasing, consuming, and refunding Courses, or by requesting a refund after substantially completing a Course.
  • Do not initiate a chargeback in place of requesting a refund through the Platform. Contact support@cavua.ai first; fraudulent chargebacks may result in account termination and collection action.
  • Do not misuse discount codes, promotional pricing, referral programs, or institutional pricing, including by creating multiple accounts or by redistributing codes not intended for public use.
  • Do not falsify, alter, share, sell, or misrepresent any certificate, completion record, or credential that may or may not be issued by the Platform, or misrepresent what such a certificate signifies.
III.1

Part III (Authors) — Rights, Clearances, and Attribution

Part III applies in addition to Part I whenever you submit Author Content or publish a Course. These rules supplement, and do not replace, your obligations under the Author Agreement.

The Author Agreement contains your binding representations about content rights. This Section describes what compliance looks like in practice.

III.1.a

Submit Only What You Have the Right to Submit

  • Submit only material you wrote and own outright, or material you are authorized in writing by the rights holder to license to Cavua on the terms of the Author Agreement.
  • If you are under an exclusive publishing, work-for-hire, employment, or institutional agreement covering the material, confirm it permits this use before you submit.
  • Do not submit material obtained from a course, textbook, training program, subscription service, or website that you are not licensed to redistribute.
  • Do not submit material recovered from a former employer, client, or institution without written permission.
III.1.b

Third-Party Material

Course material commonly includes quotations, citations, figures, and images from other sources. That is permitted, but only where cleared, such as pursuant to these standards:

  • Obtain and retain all necessary licenses, permissions, and clearances for third-party text, images, charts, photographs, audio, video, software, and data.
  • Attribute all third-party material accurately, including source, author, and license terms where applicable.
  • Verify that material you treat as public domain or openly licensed actually is, and comply with the terms of any open license, including attribution and share-alike requirements.
  • Be prepared to produce documentation of your clearances within fifteen (15) business days of a Cavua request. Cavua may unpublish a Course pending receipt.

Do not rely on a general assumption of fair use for substantial reproductions of copyrighted works. Fair use is a fact-specific defense, not a clearance.

III.1.c

Personal Data and Third-Party Privacy

  • Do not include personal data, images, likenesses, voices, or private facts about identifiable third parties without their documented authorization for inclusion and publication.
  • Take particular care with case studies, clinical or client examples, student work, classroom recordings, interview material, and anecdotes involving named individuals. De-identify where consent is not documented.
  • Do not include material subject to a confidentiality obligation, nondisclosure agreement, protective order, or professional duty of confidence.
  • Do not include special-category personal data (e.g., health, biometric, genetic, sexual orientation, religious or political affiliation, precise geolocation, financial account information, or government identifiers) concerning any third party.
  • Do not include personal data concerning minors.
III.2

Accuracy and Educational Integrity

Because the Platform generates instructional material from your source content, and because you approve that material before publication, accuracy is your responsibility. You must:

  • review all Generated Materials before publishing, rather than approving them unread;
  • verify that citations, references, statutes, statistics, dates, figures, and attributed quotations in the Generated Materials are real and accurate, and correct or remove any that are not;
  • correct factual errors promptly once you become aware of them, including after publication;
  • describe your credentials, qualifications, and experience accurately, and not imply institutional affiliation, licensure, or accreditation you do not hold;
  • describe the Course accurately in its title, description, level, prerequisites, and duration; and
  • not represent Generated Materials as peer-reviewed, accredited, or officially approved unless they are.
III.3

Regulated and Sensitive Subject Matter

Courses must not purport to provide medical, legal, financial, tax, mental health, or other professional advice, and they may not be offered as preparation for any professional license or certification.

III.4

Content Directed at Minors

The Platform is intended for users aged 18 and over. You may not publish Courses directed at, or designed primarily to appeal to, individuals under 18.

III.5

Generated Materials and Platform Technology

This Section reinforces the Author Agreement. Except as expressly permitted by an export license that may be offered per Cavua's discretion and purchased by you pursuant to the Author Agreement, you may not:

  • copy, download, export, print, screenshot, record, transcribe, scrape, or otherwise extract Generated Materials from the Platform, other than incidental copies made automatically by your browser in the ordinary course of authorized access, and other than features expressly provided by Cavua;
  • use, reproduce, distribute, sell, license, or prepare derivative works from Generated Materials outside the Platform;
  • use Generated Materials, or any Platform output, to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any artificial intelligence or machine learning model;
  • use Generated Materials or the Platform to develop, market, or operate any competing product or service; or
  • use Cavua's name, trademarks, logos, or trade dress without prior written permission, or represent yourself as a Cavua employee, agent, or partner.

Nothing in this Section restricts what you may do with your own Author Content, which remains yours under the Author Agreement.

III.6.a

Dealing with Students

Cavua may, at Cavua's discretion, provide one or more tools for cross-communication or educational engagement between Students and Authors. If you make use of the Platform for that purpose, you are expected to abide by the following standards:

  • Communicate with Students through Platform-provided channels and in a professional, respectful manner.
  • Do not use Student contact information for any purpose other than supporting the Course in which they are enrolled.
  • Do not export, sell, rent, or otherwise transfer Student data, or add Students to external mailing lists without their separate, informed consent.
  • Do not harass, disparage, retaliate against, or attempt to influence a Student on the basis of a review, rating, refund request, or complaint.
III.6.b

Fee Integrity

  • Do not solicit or direct Students to purchase your Courses or substantially similar materials outside the Platform in order to avoid the platform commission.
  • Do not embed off-Platform payment links, discount codes, or purchase instructions in Course content, Course descriptions, or Student communications.

For clarity, this Section does not limit your right under the Author Agreement to publish and sell your own Author Content through other channels. It prohibits diverting Platform Students away from a Platform transaction.

III.6.c

Marketing and Reviews

  • Do not manipulate ratings or reviews, including by posting fake reviews, incentivizing positive reviews, or coordinating review activity.
  • Do not manipulate enrollment, sales, or referral metrics, including through self-purchase, fictitious accounts, or referral schemes designed to generate commissions without genuine referrals.
  • Do not send unsolicited bulk messages promoting your Courses.
  • Do not use misleading pricing, false scarcity, countdown timers that reset, or fabricated original prices.
  • Do not bid on, register, or use Cavua trademarks in domains, handles, or paid search in a manner likely to cause confusion.
III.7

AI Transparency

  • Do not misrepresent the extent of AI involvement in the creation of your Course materials, to Students or to Cavua.
  • Do not use the Platform to obscure the origin of content you do not have the right to use. Processing infringing material through the Platform does not cure the infringement, and doing so deliberately is a material breach.
  • Do not represent that Cavua, the Platform, or its AI systems have verified, endorsed, or fact-checked your Course.
IV.1.a

Part IV — Enforcement: Cavua Discretion

Part IV applies to all users of the Platform, including both Students and Authors. The following outlines, without limitation, Cavua's reserved rights to enforce the foregoing standards and prohibitions.

Cavua may take any of the following actions, in its sole discretion, with or without prior notice:

  • request corrections;
  • require additional documentation;
  • add or require disclaimers;
  • restrict or remove content;
  • restrict Course visibility;
  • unpublish or permanently remove a Course;
  • revoke access to a Course;
  • limit or suspend account features;
  • withhold or reverse earnings attributable to violating content;
  • suspend or terminate an account; and
  • report conduct to law enforcement or other authorities.

Cavua has no obligation to monitor or pre-screen content, and any review Cavua performs does not relieve you of responsibility or constitute approval. Cavua's failure to act on one violation does not waive Cavua's right to act on another.

IV.1.b

Severity

Cavua generally escalates in proportion to the severity, intent, and recurrence of a violation. Minor or apparently inadvertent issues (e.g., an unclear disclaimer, a missing attribution, an off-topic post) will ordinarily result in a warning or correction request in the first instance. Violations of Section I.3.a, and violations involving deliberate infringement, fraud, security attacks, or conduct endangering others, may result in immediate, permanent termination without prior notice or opportunity to cure.

IV.1.c

Appeals

Except as stated in Section I.3.a, you may appeal an enforcement action through your dashboard within thirty (30) days, including any documentation supporting your position. Cavua will review and respond, and Cavua's determination on appeal is final.

IV.1.d

Effect on Money

Authors: earnings attributable to content removed for violation of this Policy may be withheld or reversed pursuant to the Author Agreement, and refunds issued to Students as a result of a removal are subject to the offset and clawback provisions of that agreement.

Students: if a Course you purchased is removed, your remedy is as stated in the Terms of Service. If your account is terminated for violating this Policy, Cavua is not required to refund amounts you have paid, except where required by law.

IV.2

Reporting Violations

  • Report suspected violations of this Policy to support@cavua.ai.
  • Report security vulnerabilities to support@cavua.ai.
  • Send notices of claimed copyright infringement to support@cavua.ai.

Cavua maintains a policy of terminating the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

If you believe someone is at immediate risk of harm, contact local emergency services first.

Cavua will not retaliate against anyone for a good-faith report. Knowingly false reports are themselves a violation of this Policy.

IV.3

Changes to This Policy

Cavua may update this Policy from time to time. Cavua will post the updated Policy at cavua.ai/legal/acceptable-use with a revised "last updated" date, and material changes will be notified by email or in-Platform notice. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

Questions. If you are unsure whether something is permitted, ask before you publish, upload, or post. Authors: authors@cavua.ai. Students: support@cavua.ai. Cavua would rather answer a question in advance than remove content after the fact.
